All of our service staff are Fear-Free Certified. Animals are at their best when they feel at ease. Fear Free offers science-based, behaviour-led strategies to prevent and reduce fear, anxiety, and stress for the pets in our care.
Our Fear Free Philosophy
& Maintenance Requirement
We take our Fear Free practices very seriously, with your dog’s comfort, safety, and emotional wellbeing always coming first. It’s very important to us that grooming remains a positive experience every time your dog returns to us.
Grooming can be particularly challenging when matting or heightened stress is involved. In order to avoid these challenges, we require that clients maintain a consistent grooming schedule, as recommended by our grooming professionals.
Regular maintenance helps prevent matting, shorten appointment times, and allow us to keep each visit calm, manageable, and as low-stress as possible.
We’re always happy to chat through scheduling options, maintenance recommendations, or any questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to support you and your pup in any way we can.

Fear Free Introductory Services
We’ll gradually introduce your puppy to the grooming environment at a pace that helps them feel safe and comfortable. Our goal is to create positive early experiences that build confidence, reduce stress, and set them up for a lifetime of successful, fear-free grooming visits.
Puppy Intro
Is it your puppy’s first visit? Our Puppy Intro is designed to gently ease your pup into the grooming experience through positive, low-stress handling in a Fear Free environment.
This introductory appointment includes a gentle bath and dry. If your puppy is comfortable and willing, we’ll also practice nail trimming and light tidying around the face, feet, and sanitary areas. Every puppy progresses differently, so there is no guarantee that all services will be completed during this visit.
Our primary goal is not a perfect groom, it’s helping your puppy build confidence and develop a positive association with grooming. We work entirely at your puppy’s pace, ensuring they leave feeling safe, comfortable, and happy, setting them up for a lifetime of successful grooming appointments.
Many puppies benefit from 2-3 Puppy Intro appointments before they’re ready for a full haircut or trimming service. At the end of your visit, we’ll discuss your puppy’s progress and recommend the next steps.
For first-time puppies, 3 months to 6 months of age.

Intro Session (for anxious dogs)
Does your dog become nervous, fearful, or overwhelmed during grooming? Our Intro Session is designed to help anxious dogs build confidence through gentle, low-stress handling in a Fear Free environment.
This appointment focuses on creating positive experiences rather than completing a full groom. Depending on your dog’s comfort level, we may practice handling, bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, or light tidying. Every dog progresses at their own pace, so there is no guarantee that any specific services will be completed during the appointment.
Our primary goal is to help your dog develop a positive association with grooming by working entirely at their pace. We use patience, positive reinforcement, and Fear Free handling techniques to build trust and confidence, helping your dog feel safer and more comfortable with each visit.
Many dogs benefit from multiple Intro Sessions before they’re ready for a full grooming appointment. At the end of each visit, we’ll discuss your dog’s progress and recommend the next steps based on their individual needs.
For Adult dogs with previous negative grooming experiences, generalized anxiety, fear of handling, or those returning to grooming after an extended absence.

Bath & Dry Services
Perfect for pups needing a quick refresh between full grooming appointments. Our Bath & Dry services include a gentle bath with either a towel dry or full blow dry, helping keep your dog clean, comfortable, and their coat maintained between grooms.
Bath & Towel Dry
Perfect for pups who just need a quick freshen-up! This express service includes a gentle bath followed by a towel dry, leaving your dog clean, fresh, and ready to head home. Ideal between full grooming appointments or after a muddy adventure.
Please note: This service does not include blow drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, or any coat trimming.

Full Service Grooming
Treat your dog to a spaw day with these full service packages. Includes a full bath, blow dry, brush out and de-shed (where appropriate), nail trimming & ear cleaning (if temperament allows).
Full Outline Trim
Perfect for smooth-coated, short-haired, feathered, and double-coated breeds that don’t require a full body clip or shave, such as Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Springer Spaniels, and similar breeds.
This service includes a full bath, blow dry, brush out and de-shed (where appropriate), nail trimming, ear cleaning, and a complete outline tidy. We’ll carefully trim the feet, neaten feathering, and refine your dog’s natural silhouette with scissor work, leaving them looking clean, polished, and true to their breed’s appearance.
Please note: This service does not include clipping or shaving the body. Dogs requiring significant coat removal or full-body styling should be booked for a Full Cut & Style appointment.

Full Cut & Style
If your dog requires a full body clip, shave, or all-over haircut, this is the service to book. Ideal for breeds such as Poodles, Doodles, Water Dogs, Bichons, Yorkies, Shih Tzus, and other dogs whose coats require regular trimming and styling.
This service includes a full bath, blow dry, brush out, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and a complete haircut tailored to your preferences or your dog’s breed standard. This includes full body clipping, scissor work, breed-specific styling, pet trims, and detailed finishing on the face, feet, legs, and overall coat shape.
Please note: If your dog only requires light tidying of the feet, feathering, and outline – without shortening the body coat – please book a Full Outline Trim instead.

Junior Full Service Grooming
Performed by our Groomers-in-Training, these discounted appointments are designed to support our team members as they continue developing and perfecting their grooming skills. All services are supervised by our senior groomers to ensure a safe and positive experience for your dog.
Training appointments may take longer than a regular grooming appointment, and we truly appreciate your feedback as our groomers continue to learn and grow.
FEAR FREE POLICY: We take our Fear Free policy very seriously. If your dog becomes distressed at any point during the groom, we may pause, slow things down, or in some cases, stop the session entirely to prioritize their comfort and safety.
Please note: These services are not suitable for:
- Puppies under 6 months of age
- XL dogs over 80lbs
- Dogs who experience significant fear, anxiety, or stress during grooming
- Dogs who require extensive de-matting
*We will not be able to complete a training groom on a dog who is uncomfortable with the process, as these appointments need to be a positive learning experience for both the groomer-in-training and the dog.

Hand Stripping
This specialized coat care service is designed for wire-coated and rough-coated breeds. Hand stripping involves carefully removing dead outer coat by hand to maintain the coat’s natural texture, colour, and weather-resistant qualities while promoting healthy coat growth.
This service is ideal for maintaining breed-standard appearance and coat condition, and is performed gradually and thoughtfully to keep your dog comfortable throughout the process. Depending on your dog’s coat type, condition, and maintenance schedule, hand stripping appointments may be completed in stages or require regular upkeep visits for best results.
Includes nail trimming & ear cleaning, with additional optional add-ons available (i.e bath & blow dry, teeth brushing, etc.)
